This Privacy Policy explains how Dentistry on the Square ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit https://dentistryonthesquare.com, contact us, or interact with our services. By using our website you agree to the practices described here. Protected health information (PHI) that you share with us as a patient is separately governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Contact forms. Name, email address, phone number, and any details you choose to share when you request an appointment or message us.
  • Phone numbers. When you call or text our office for scheduling, treatment questions, or follow-up.
  • Email. Any message you send to info@dentistryonthesquare.com or reply to from our office.
  • Location. Approximate location derived from your IP address (city/region level) for security and analytics. We do not collect precise GPS location.
  • Device information. Browser type, operating system, device type, referring page, and pages viewed.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. See Section 2 below.
  • Analytics. Aggregated usage data (pages viewed, time on page, traffic sources) — only if you have consented to analytics cookies.
  • Marketing pixels. Tags that measure the performance of advertising campaigns — only if you have consented to marketing or advertising cookies.

2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your consent choice, measure performance, and (with your permission) personalize content. Cookies are grouped into five categories:

  • Strictly Necessary — always on; required for the site to function.
  • Analytics — help us understand how the site is used.
  • Functional — enable enhanced features (maps, video, chat).
  • Marketing — measure marketing campaign performance.
  • Advertising — deliver and measure ads on other sites.

Non-essential cookies do not load until you have given consent. You can change your choices at any time.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your questions and requests.

  • To protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents.

4. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to comply with legal and recordkeeping obligations (including dental records retention requirements under applicable law), to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Website analytics and consent logs are retained for up to 24 months unless a longer period is required by law.

5. Third-Party Providers

We use trusted third-party providers to run our website and business. These providers may receive limited information necessary to perform their services and are contractually required to protect it. Categories may include:

  • Google — analytics, Google Maps embeds, reCAPTCHA.

  • Stripe — payment processing (if used).

  • Hosting provider — our website is hosted on managed cloud infrastructure with industry-standard security controls.

6. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

By default, we do not sell your personal information. If we ever elect to participate in lawful data partnerships, we will update this policy, identify the partners and categories of information involved, and provide a clear opt-out before doing so where required by law.

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention obligations such as dental records).
